ABOUT ME

First frame work and stipple September 2023

Why I started Norcal Stipplz

Back in August of 2023 I bought my first handgun, a bone stock Glock 19. Almost immediately after shooting it I realized that the lower finger groove bump was directly under my ring finger making the gun very uncomfortable. Determined to do something about it I immediately picked up a file and removed the finger grooves. Shortly after that while going down the rabbit hole of Glock parts and modifications as any first time Glock owner does, I found out about stippling. I looked at many different companies repeatedly seeing $300 to $400 prices and 3-6 week lead times. I understood that in most cases you pay for quality but after looking at all of the different companies offering stippling, I figured it was something that I could probably do my self. I quickly went online and ordered a soldering iron, a bunch of different design tips, and the cheapest rotary sander I could find. The day everything showed up in the mail I couldn't wait and immediately ran into the garage to see what I could do. I attempted my first single and double undercuts and a random thorns pattern stipple and to my surprise the work wasn't terrible and I loved the way the gun felt. Ever since then I have been buying new and better equipment and challenging myself to provide more quality work while still keeping it affordable for as many people as possible. As a single-man operation, I pride myself on delivering affordable services without compromising on excellence. One of the most important things to me with Norcal Stipplz is honesty and transparency.I believe that quality work shouldn't have to come with an outrageous price tag and long lead times, I ensure that all your stipple needs are met wholly and promptly.
